Weight Loss Through Intermittent Fasting and Walking: October 2018 Progress Report

Challenges for this month:

  • October was a stressful month, mostly because of the writing and publishing of my book.
  • Several (intentionally) off plan days.

October 2018 Walking

Goal: Walk 6 Miles (14,000 Steps) every day

Results:

  • I hit my step goal every single day
  • I walked a total of 476,059 steps
  • That’s a total of 205.27 miles

October 2018 Weight

Goal: 7 Day average weight of 137.37 by October 31, 2018 (a total loss of 2 pounds from my 7 day average as of September 30, 2018 at 139.37)

Results: 

7 Day average weight as of October 31, 2018: 142.53

Total gain of 3.16 pounds for the month of October.

Even though I gained rather than lost, my period fell in the last week of October which accounts for the gain. Also, I realized that my real goal at this point is to maintain within 5 pounds of 140.

Victories

  • Started personal coaching.
  • Getting way out of my comfort zone (writing and publishing a book)
  • Lowest single day weight of this weight loss journey: 136.6

  • Most my weight fluctuated in a given 7 day period: 6.2 pounds 

Weight Loss Goal Set For November:
Maintain my 7 day average weight no higher than 145.

My Plan
Eat once a day, Monday through Saturday
Cheat day on Sunday
Walk 6 miles every day
