Intermittent Fasting and Carbs: Do you have to limit them?
if you’re intermittent fasting do you have to limit carbs let’s talk about it so this question has been coming up a lot in the comment section and I just wanted to answer it the question is do I limit carbs and the answer to that is no I don’t first of all remember I’m not a doctor or a scientist or a nutritionist I’m just somebody who has done intermittent fasting for several years and at this point I’ve lost 72 pounds and I’ve been able to keep it off with what feels like very little effort so I just want to share with you my experiences if you ask 10 different intermittent fasting experts which I do not consider myself one about this question can you eat as many carbohydrates as you want on this plan they’re gonna give you 10 different answers when I was first researching intermittent fasting it was making my head spin you know there there were so many different opinions and I finally just used the Tim Ferriss question which is what would this look like if it were easy what would intermittent fasting look like if it were really easy and to me the answer was if I could just eat whatever I wanted at my meals and just limit the the time window that I could eat in if that would be really really easy if I could still eat whatever I wanted and truthfully at the time I thought maybe I can lose 5 pounds doing it that way and then I’m gonna have to change it around and change it up but I really just wanted to see how far can that plan take me but the thing is I never had to change the plan I just continued to eat whatever I wanted to eat at my meal and I still have seen the weight come off even today and my diet is you know if I had to classify it it’s probably higher carb it’s not that I don’t like protein I love protein but I’ve got three kids and you know we’re a family of five and I had to think about the budget and really that was another consideration when I was figuring out like what my eating plan was and man especially at the beginning of this journey money was tight and the grocery budget is one of those areas where like you know carbs are cheap and so it continues to be you know a lot of in my diet in the past week let’s say there’s a lot of pasta and white rice it’s not even like but you know healthy you know brown rice or the wild rice or whatever like I just the things like I just I just do now I have tried low-carb like back when I was like 14 so us like 20 years ago but I did do the Zone diet and I had success I lost some weight but the thing is is I didn’t keep it off and I went back to not eating the zone way there have been times where I’ve been really tempted to try you know cutting out carbs completely seeing how quickly I could lose the weight but again I’ve always held off because I really just want to see where this plan takes me so let me know in the comments below like are you doing intermittent fasting and eating whatever you want and how have your results been or you know if you have experience with you know low carb plus intermittent fasting let me know or maybe just you know low carb in general what have your experience has been okay thank you for watching be sure to LIKE comment and subscribe down below
Video Recap

People have been asking me if I limit carbs. The answer is no, I do not. In fact, my daily diet is high in carbs. And not only the “good carbs.” My weekly food intake includes white rice, pasta, white breads, potatoes, etc.

When I settled on intermittent fasting I asked myself, “What would this look like if it were easy?” (Hat tip, Tim Ferriss)  For me the answer was: don’t restrict the food types, just restrict the time I eat. That’s what has worked for me so far (72 pounds down and counting), and I plan on continuing on my plan until it just doesn’t give me the results I want.

If you’re doing intermittent fasting, what have your results been? Do you eat whatever you want? Or are you limiting certain types of foods?  Have you had experience with low carb diets? Did you have success? Share it in the comments below!
