Video Recap
Sana Hudson is a registered nurse who lost 30 pounds in 6 months with intermittent fasting. She had struggled with her weight during childhood, but in high school, she became very self-disciplined and slimmed down. After beginning to have children, her weight became a struggle again. Her “I’ve had enough” moment came when she was in the dressing room of a store. She looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize herself.
She tried many diets that were not sustainable for her in the long run. In 2017, at a starting weight of 170 pounds, she began intermittent fasting. In the beginning, she waited to eat until noon, and lost about 10 pounds in one month. However, her weight loss plateaued at that point, so she combined keto with intermittent fasting. Her eating window was 10 am – 4 pm. By early 2018, she hit her goal weight of 138.
She maintained her weight loss at first. But after a while she fell out of keto because she was having issues with electrolyte imbalances and she wasn’t sleeping well. In addition, being strict with keto meant that many of the foods that were a part of her Jamaican heritage were off limits. She gained back to 155.
In early 2021, it was time to lose the regained weight. This time she made her eating more inclusive. She feels best when she’s eating higher protein, but these days she’s not strict. This took the stress out of eating. Since that time, she has lost the regained weight and has been maintaining in the 140s.
Sana currently offers group and one-on-one coaching through her business, Identyfast. If you’d like to connect with her you can:
